Allison Visits Maqbara

Stacy Allison, the first American woman to climb the tallest peak in the world, Mount Everest, was enthralled to see Bibi Ka Maqbara. She visited the place Sunday (4th) morning.

Allison climbed Mount Everest on Sept 29, 1988. She wanted to climb the peak after she learned about rock climbing. Her first mountaineering expedition was Mount Huntington, where she visited with her colleagues. However, the expedition failed after they completed 200 feet as the colleagues refused to go any further. Efforts, dedication, and persuasion are required to achieve anything. Keeping this goal in mind, Allison climbed McKinley and Nepal’s 22,495-ft high Ama Dablam, known as Nepal’s Matterhorn.

After 29 days of relentless toiling, on Sept 29, 1988, Allison won the honor of becoming the first American woman to climb Mount Everest. This courageous woman has also penned a book – “Beyond the Limits: A Woman’s Triumph on Everest.” She visited the world-famous Ajanta Caves on Feb 2, and Daulatabad and Verul Kailash Caves on Feb 3. “She was enthralled after visiting Maqbara,” her guide Tejendra Singh Gulati said.
